Understanding the Basics
Many people do not understand how critically important the method to construction dewatering is to
contractors.

using Aqua Barriers™ can have an extraordinary impact on your project.
Let's start by understanding the basics of Aqua Barriers™:
- Surface Friction - required to stabilize the cofferdams when exposed to uneven water pressures.
- Freeboard - amount of inflated barrier above the water. What does this have to do with me? Well, Aqua Barriers need a minimum of 25% freeboard.
- Internal Baffle System - locks into place when the barrier is exposed to greater pressure on one side. Aqua Barriers are the only dams on the market with this patented system.
