2-3 Year Project in Alvin, Texas
19 June 2008
The construction manager responsible for refurbishing various pipes in chemical ditches continues to use Aqua Barriers with great success. The first order was placed in August of 2007. The project manager has continued to call on Hydrological Solutions to provide various heights and sizes to complete this ongoing project. Most recently, we sent two 4' tall cofferdams totaling 75 linear feet. Before trying Aqua Barriers, the company used sand bags. The project manager started searching for a better option, because the sand bags took so long to install and were not holding up under UV rays. We look forward to helping other customers who are interested in a proven, modern dewatering system.
Off to Tonawanda, New York
17 June 2008
Some Aqua Barriers were just purchased to do a project in Tonawanda, NY. The contractor needed a way to dewater a channel that is 6 feet wide in order to work on removing sediment build up. Because the contractor needed a specific size to fit in the tight quarters, we made a custom sized unit. The water depth was about 38 inches deep, so a 5 foot tall cofferdam took care of the job. Now, any time the sediment buildup needs to be removed the contractor has the Aqua Barrier to install in less than an hour! What a quick and easy solution!
Tidal Influence in Georgia
28 April 2008
One 6' high barrier was installed up stream and another was installed down stream to create a dry workspace for bridge pier repair. The water was 1' high tide at low tide and got up to 3.5' at high tide. The contractor installed diversion pipes to help facilitate the moving water. Becasue the team at Hydrological Solutions, Inc. helped the contractor prepare to deal with the tidal influence, the project went off without a hitch!
